Canada has always offered excellent skiing in North America. Snow sports like skiing and snowboarding are a big part of winter life especially in the Calgary area. Calgary sits on the prairie just east of the Rockies, where it is home to its own in-town ski hill, whereas Banff village is one of the world’s great mountain/ski towns, but winter is off season. Those jaw dropping scenic views are just as accessible in winter.
